Bluetooth headphones have matured in sound and comfort, but front-facing distractors in open offices still break calls. VoiceDefender™ Gen2 fixes this by creating a virtual “quiet sphere” around the talker, preserving the user’s voice while attenuating a front distractor by the 15 dB demanded in Teams Open Office testing - without a boom. The result is natural speech pickup in loud, complex scenes (open office, crossroads, train, aircraft) using four microphones (2 per earcup) and Alango’s multi-mic voice pipeline (AEC, noise reduction, EQ, gain).

Front-facing distractor resilience is the hardest case: at 70 cm directly ahead, the user’s speech and the distractor arrive with near-identical timing, defeating conventional arrays. VoiceDefender™ Gen2 solves this with its 2×2 earcup geometry + proprietary processing, achieving the 15 dB attenuation goal while preserving the talker.
